Welcome to Glen Huon Primary School

Enrolments are always open, and enquiries are most welcome. You can find all of the information that you need right here.

Thank you for considering Glen Huon Primary School for your child’s education. Below you’ll find everything you need to begin the enrolment process.

How to Enrol

1. Complete an Enrolment Form
Download and complete the Application for Enrolment form using the link below.

2. Gather Supporting Documents
Please include the following with your application:

  • A copy of your child’s birth certificate, extract of birth, or passport.
  • An up-to-date Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (available via Healthy WA) not more than two months old.
  • Proof of residence -Three copies of proof of your current address (eg, lease agreement of at least three months, proof of ownership of property ie. rates notice, utilities bill – power/water).
  • Copies of Family Court orders for confirmation of proof of name or custody arrangements.

3. Submit Your Application
Applications can be submitted in person at the school’s front office, or via email to glenhuon.ps@education.wa.edu.au

Please note: Submitting an Application does not guarantee a place. The Principal may request a Statutory Declaration to support claims of residence.

What Happens Next?

Once your application is received, the Principal will:

  • Assess all enrolment applications.
  • Prioritise enrolments based on proximity, from students living nearest the school to those living further away.

You will be notified in writing regarding the outcome of your application. Once your enrolment is confirmed, a formal School Enrolment Form will be provided.

Enrolment Eligibility for 2027

Enrolments are open year-round, and enquiries are always welcome. You can find all the information you need here.

We offer specific timelines for applications and entry into our Kindergarten programs.

Applications for 2027 Kindergarten are now open and close on 24 July 2026.
Please note that this timeline is subject to change in response to current circumstances.

You will need to apply to enrol your child for the 2027 school year if they are:

  • Starting Kindergarten – Children can start Kindergarten in 2027 if their date of birth falls between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023 (inclusive). Children must turn 4 years old by 30 June 2027.
  • Starting Pre-primary – The first year of compulsory schooling (children must turn 5 by 30 June 2027).
  • Starting Year 7 – Transitioning to secondary school.
  • Changing schools
